Okay, so this week our problem was 162 divided by 10.8. How would you like to solve this problem? Pause it, solve the problem any way you want. The problem is 162 divided by 10.8.

Okay. Huh. I think I'm going to think quotatively, and I'm going to think about 10.8s.

Okay.

And I'm just going to be a little curious here. If I find 2 of them, that would be 21.6. If I find 10 of them, that would be 108. I'm looking at the 162 to decide how far away I am.

Mmhm.

And I kind of wonder if I were to find... How far away am I? 108 to 62. My brain today. I'm 54 away? No. Yes. 54 away. So, how am I going to get to 54? Hmm. 4 of them would be 43.2. So I'm trying to decide how close I am to 54. Kim, you got hard problems today.

It's okay. I usually have thought about them a little bit, but I have not today.

Yeah, because I think a lot of times people think that you're supposed to just like know right away.

Okay, so I just was finding the difference between 43.2 and 54. So, I went from 43.2 up. Wrongly. Up 0.8 to get to 44.

And then 44 to 54 is 10. So, they're 10.8 away from each other. How nice is that? So, I think it's 5.

Okay, hold on a second. So, 5 of them was 54. Oh, 5 was 54. Ha, sorry. But I need to get to 162. So, it's 15.

I got to be honest with you. I was kind of half listening, because I was trying to think about what I would do that might be different. And I... You were thinking quotatively, so I thought, "Okay, what if I did equivalent ratio again?" And I wrote 162 divided by 10.8. And then I halved them, and I got 81 divided by 54. Or, uh, 5.4. Sorry.

And I was like, "Man, what do I know..."

There's some 9s in there.

Yeah, I was like, "What do I know about that?" And I just... Like, I've been staring at the 81 and the 5.4. And so, then I started listening to you, so I didn't finish. So, then, yeah, I'm dividing by 9, and I'm getting 9 divided by... What is that? 0.6?

Yep.

So, then I'm going to go divide by 3, and I get 3 divided by 0.2. Is that right?

Yeah.

And then I got 0.15 divided by 0.1, which is 15.

And, you know, when you were at 3 divided by 0.2, I scaled up times 5 because I know 0.2 times 5 is 1.

So, 15. So, we both got 15. But oof, that made me. Way to go, Kim. I was telling Kim right before we recorded this one. I was like, "I'm a little sloggy today." And man, that just played out.
